The Beaucoup Amor Holiday event was a smash. Gabrielle Gunn has outdone herself with her beautiful boutique. Beaucoup Amor has so much to offer the Fashionista who has impeccable taste. As models meandered there way through the crowd showing accessory pieces guests were treated to champagne and tasty treats. In attendance were Cassandra Skinner & Eraka Chiles Watson of Salon Utopia located in Pearland. Also in attendance was Rebecca of A/List Models, Tamara & Benjamin Floyd of Floyd and Associates. Beaucoup Amor is a sophisticated shop nestled just beyond the Galleria on Hidalgo @ Sage. Looking for a one of a kind accessory piece to add interest, dazzle and impact to your outfit Beaucoup Amor is definitely the place to visit.

BEAUCOUP AMOR FASHIONISTAS

Beaucoup Amor Fashionistas. Beaucoup Amor caters to a Fashionistas' desire for endless accessories. The look and feel of this accessory shop is more than just a boutique. I recently visited Gabrielle Gunn (shop owner) at Beaucoup Amor and was instantly overwhelmed with a sense of luxury, and style. Yet Gabrielle's decor, design and layout also evokes the cozy feeling of being at home. Her shop is more of a "salon" rather than a boutique. The "salon" is conveniently located near the Galleria at 3055 Sage Rd.

When asked "why an accessory shop" Gabrielle's response was that she wanted to give women options for accessories in a shop that provided an easy and laid back atmosphere as though it were your very own boudoir. And believe me Fashionistas...Ms. Gunn has indeed accomplished such a task with her establishment.

I felt right at home surrounded by beautiful shoes, bags, shades, jewelry & scarves. A girl could definitely go shopping crazy at Beaucoup Amor. It was so awesome...I felt like Delilah in Accessory Heaven. My gosh I wanted to grab every bag and try on every pair of shoes and prance around for hours. The feeling of trying on new shoes and strutting with a new bag on my shoulder was exhilarating. I know that other Fashionistas can share in the excitement that trying on new shoes can bring. The bags, shoes and accessories were calling out to me from every corner of the shop Delilah..Delilah pick me. Okay.. maybe that was a little extreme, but sadly true.

Needless to say...I definitely give this "salon" two thumbs up. Fashionistas when you are in the area, stop by and check this shop out. You will fall in love with the merchandise, Gabrielle and her little Yorkie Choobaka (gosh I hope I spelled his name right). Anyway....go there you will not be disappointed and remember always be Fantabulous.

DILLARD'S VIP STYLE

I attended the Dillard's VIP event at West Oaks Mall this past Sunday. I can tell you that those of you who were not able to make it surely missed a treat. As I strolled down the red carpet into the store, I was greeted by some wonderful Dillard's Sales Associates. They promptly greeted me and gave me the star treatment. They made me feel as though I was some Hollywood celebrity who had just flown in to make a guest appearance. I was grinning from ear to ear. As I made my way to the ladies' shoe department I was met by a young lady who was serving Godiva chocolates. Of course, I had to take one or two. As I browsed through all of the aisles of breathtaking merchandise, I was frequently greeted by server after server. Each one of them tempting me with delicious sumptuous goodies. I strolled and ate and ate and strolled like a kid in a very large candy store. Who could ask for more. This was by far one of the best and most enjoyable shopping excursions ever.

Everyone who attended the event enjoyed fabulous in-store discounts. Dillard's is a retail store that carries an array of affordable items from fashion apparel to home furnishings. If you have not been to the West Oaks Dillard's location you are definitely missing out on a wonderful shopping experience. Dillard's West Oaks has everything a Fashionista needs to be Fantabulous.

LADY L BOUTIQUE DOES IT IN STYLE

I know everyone is waiting to hear the reviews about the Lady L Boutique 4th Anniversary and debut of the Kissable Couture collection by Keisha Whitaker, wife of Forest Whitaker. The evening was a star studded affair complete with all the glamour of a Hollywood soiree. The beautiful Letoya Luckett was the hostess with the mostest. In a sea of black cocktail attire, Ms. Luckett sparkled in a white pleated cocktail dress. She floated around the room with grace and poise as she greeted each and every guest. This Houston Celebrity knows how to throw a nice party. I admonish you to take a look at her new online store front. You will definitely love the merchandise. The merchandise in the store is hand picked by LeToya. You are definitely sure to find something that flatters your figure and flaunts your fabulousness in her boutique. The debut of Keisha Whitaker's lip gloss collection was received wholeheartedly. Guests were ecstatic about how wonderfully Keisha's lip gloss made their lips look and feel. Kissable Couture is by no means your regular sticky lip gloss. The lip gloss comes in shades that flatter every skin tone imaginable. Keisha stated that she wanted a lip gloss that enhanced a woman's beauty and yet was not sticky or had an undesirable taste.

Bags can be bought at most clothing retailers, handbag and accessory boutique stores. However, you are less likely to see your bag duplicated if purchased from one of Houston's boutiques. Handbags are great, affordable gifts for the Fashionistas on your holiday list. Bags are gifts that can be bought for any personality or age, and will be sure to bring a smile.

The fashion world is filled with top designers who bring fashionable bags to new and amazing levels, however sometimes the price of their products is a bit more than the average Fashionista is willing to pay. But there is hope ladies, many designers also offer affordable, stylish and fun bags without sacrificing quality and appeal.

Beaded or sequined handbags can be works of art and statement pieces. Beaded handbags, earrings, bracelets and other accessories can be fun and trendy accent pieces for a Fashionista of any age. Just remember not to over accessorize.

Let your imagination soar with new and old pieces alike. You can carry a beaded handbag to a formal or semi-formal event to add a bit of your personality. Handbags and purses add an unmistakable sense of femininity and charm to every silhouette.

Bags come in all shapes, sizes and styles. Whatever size or shape you choose, do make sure that the purse compliments your outfit. Bag sizes must be in proportion to your body size. Not every Fashionista can carry the huge bags that are seen in many fashion photos. Make sure the size of the bag isn't too overwhelming for your body frame.

Gone are the days when we would just grab a bag and dash out of the door. Now picking a handbag is done with the same precision as selecting the perfect shoe to compliment your outfit. Careful thought must be utilized when pulling your outfit together. Here's a freebie....choose handbags that can go with more than one outfit. This alleviates you from having to always purchase a bag to match your next show stopping outfit. Have in your repertoire a mixture of bag colors, textures and styles of which you can pull from to accent your outfit.

AN EVENING AT LADY L BOUTIQUE

I want to extend a personal thank you to all of the ladies of the Fashionista Project that attended the Lady L trunk show. Ms. Letoya Luckett herself was available to present all the lines of clothing available at Lady L Boutique. As if that was not enough Ms. Luckett also provided champagne and hors d'oeuvres to Fashionista guests. Currently the Lady L website is undergoing upgrades and will be viewable within the month with all new clothing available only on her online storefront. As a benefit of attending the Fashionista trunk show Ms. Luckett has further extended personal invitations to all those who were in attendance to her December 1st event. Ms. Luckett will be hosting Forest Whitaker and his wife Keisha Nash Whitaker who will be introducing her new lip gloss line Kissable Couture. Also numerous other notable celebrities will be in attendance. Ms. Luckett features clothing from KLS (Kimora Lee Simmons) and MBLEM (Mandy Moore) in her boutique, so you never know who you may see.
